AIPGMET - All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test 2009 exam dates & eligibility

All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test (AIPGMET) is conducted by D.Y. Patil University for admission in various Post graduation courses under D. Y. Patil Medical College, Kolhapur-416006, which is the constituent of the University itself. There are various streams which are offered under MS and MD.



Courses Offered :

The various available streams in MS are:

1) General Surgery

2) Obstetrics & Gynaecology

3) Orthopaedics


4) Ophthalmology

5) ENT (otorhinolaryngology)

6) Anatomy

The various available streams in MD (Diploma) are:

1) General Medicine

2) Pediatrics

3) Pathology

4) Psychiatry

5) Dermatology


6) Physiology

7) Anesthesiology

) Microbiology

The various available streams in Diploma are:

1) Orthopedics (D.Ortho)

2) Obstetrics & Gynecology (DGO)

3) Pediatrics (DCH)

Eligibility criteria :


1) The nationality of the candidate must be Indian.

2) The candidate should have got a passed MBBS degree from a recognized university.

3) The candidate should have also completed one year Internship after the course.

4) The candidate who are due in completion of their internship have to submit certificate signed by Principal or Dean of the college giving information about the completion of the internship.

1. Last date to submit the filled application form : 31st Jan, 2009

2. Last date to submit the filled application form : 7th Jan, 2009

(with Late fee)

3. Date of commencement of exam : 10th Feb, 2009


4. Timings : 11AM – 2:30PM

Examination Pattern:

1. Their will be total of 300 question.

2. All questions will be of 1 mark each.


3. Duration of the test will be 3 and a half hour.

4. Medium of exam will be English.
