Aligarh Muslim University LAW Entrance test 2009 www.amu.ac.in

Aligarh Muslim University conducts an Entrance test for the students who want to make their career in Law. The merit obtained in the entrance test makes the candidate applicable for admission in the courses like BA, LLB and LLM. BA, LLB program provided by this university. BA, LLB is a five years integrated program which can be availed by the 10+2 passing students. The University is situated in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.


Eligibility Criteria:

* The candidate should have done 10+2 from a recognized board.
* The age of the candidate should not be greater than 21 years.
* The candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 examination.
* The students currently studying in 10+2 and would be giving their examinations this year are also applicable for the entrance test.

Important Dates:

1. Last date for receipt of complete application forms for both BA, LLB and LLM : Mid of Mar, 2009
2. Date of commencement of Exam (for BA, LLB) : 3rd week of May, 2009
3. Date of commencement of Exam (LLM) : 3rd week of Jun, 2009

Selection Procedure:

* The candidate should take the relevant test which is mandatory for admission to the course.
* The merit obtained in the concerned entrance test is the only factor for admission to the course.

Examination Pattern:

* The entrance test will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and short answer type questions.
* Time of 2 hours will be provided to complete the test.
* The entrance test will consists of questions from:

1. General English
2. Current Affairs/General knowledge (with emphasis on legal issues)
3. Reasoning
4. Aptitude
