Karnataka CAT 2009 | www.karcat.com | Combined Aptitude Test 2009 - Karnataka
Combined Aptitude Test - Karnataka is an entrance examination for the candidates who are seeking admission into B.E / BSc (Biotech) / MBBS / BPT and MSc (biotech) in the selected colleges in Karnataka.
This is mainly conducted to give admissions to the management quota in various self financing colleges in Karnataka. Students who were not able to prove themselves in the public examinations and the CETs can have another chance with this combined aptitude test in order to get a seat in a good college.
The candidate should have passed PUC or equivalent to that to be eligible for appearing for the combined aptitude test.
Usually, this test would be conducted after the CET results are announced by the government of Karnataka. After the allocation of seats to the various students who took CET, there may be a number of seats vacant in all the colleges which are then filled up by conducting the Combined Aptitude Test - Karnataka
Other state candidates are also allowed to take up the test if they possess a minimum percentage of 50 % in their qualifying examination. The test is conducted in several centers all over the country.
When compared to the MBA and other competitive examinations, this seems to be very easy since it is meant for those candidates who are seeking for admission to bachelor degree programs after their higher secondary schooling.
The syllabus for the Combined Aptitude Test - Karnataka will be as per the information specified in the brochures.
The application forms will be available with the Co-coordinator, at the Chandra layout, Vijayanagar, Bangalore. The exam is usually conducted on the month of March every year.
The application fees can be paid directly at the office or by making a DD in favor of Coordinator (CAT).
The last date for obtaining and submitting the application forms is by the second week of January every year.
After writing the test, the candidate is expected to get the application forms and brochures of each college separately and apply for the admissions. The results of the combined aptitude test will be announced within 2 to 3 weeks after the test.
