AIIMS Entrance Exam 2009 scheduled on June 1 2009 www.aiims.edu

New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will conduct the entrance exam 2009 for admission to the MBBS course on June 1, 2009.

Candidates who have passed 10+2 system or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English securing a minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Physically Handicapped candidates) in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English or whose results of Class XII are likely to be declared by 7th July, 2009 are eligible to apply for the entrance exam.

AIIMS 2009 Announcement

The prospectus and application form costing Rs.1000/- (Rs.800/- in case of SC/ST candidates) inclusive of examination fee can be obtained against cash payment from any branches of Stale Bank of India as mentioned in www.aiims.edu, between 15 January to 21 February, 2009.

The prospectus and application form can also be obtained by sending a written request with Bank Draft for Rs.1050/- (Rs.850/- in case of SC/ST candidates) in favour of "M.B.B.S. Entrance Examination-2009" payable at New Delhi.

The last date for submission of application forms is February 27, 2009.

Proposed important dates:

1. 09.01.2009 to 22.02.2009 – availability of application forms.


2. 09.01.2009 to 29.02.2009 – availability of application forms from AIIMS campus.

3. 29.02.2009 – deadline for receipt of completed application forms.

4. 01.06.2009 – date of examination.

5. 01.08.2009 – commencement of classes.


Please note that the dates are only proposed, these are not final. The post will be updated as soon as the dates are released officially.


Application procedure:

1. The cost of application form is Rs.550/- and Rs.450/- for SC/ST candidates.


2. You can receive the application form by sending a DD of above mention amount in favour of “M.B.B.S. Entrance Examination-2008? payable at New Delhi.

3. The last date to send the DD by post is 22-02-09

4. Take care that you should not send Money Order/Cheque/Postal Order/Cash

5. Write Request for Application Form for M.B.B.S. Entrance Examination 2008 on the top of envelope.

6. Also write your mailing address in capital letters along with a clearly mentioned pin code.
