West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam ( WB JEE ) is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. The exam is basically conducted for admission to various under-graduate courses in different colleges of West Bengal. Mostly all the recognized colleges and institutions ( Both Govt. and Private ) accept the merit of this examination and give admission on the basis of this merit.
Eligibility :
The candidate must have cleared his 10+2 exam with atleast 50 percent of marks in PCM (for Engineering Students) or PCB( For biological students ). The rebate is offered to SC/St students that they have got minimum of 40 percent marks in their corresponding subjects. The subject constraints for admission to various different courses is listed below :
~ B.E/ B.Tech./ B.Arch : Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English.
~ M.B.B.S /B.D.S /B.V.Sc : Physics, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, English.
~ Pharmacy : Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biological
~ Sciences, English.
Age: The candidate should be minimum of 17years and maximum of 24years as on 31st Dec,2009. The candidates applying for Marine Engineering course should be of maximum 20years as on 1st Jan, 2009.
For admission to various Govt. aided colleges and institutions, the candidate must be a bonafide resident of West Bengal and he has to show the Domicile at the time of counseling.

3.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. (Biology)
Examination Pattern :
There will be basically three sections in the examination, i.e Physics & Chemisty as one part, Mathematics and Biological Sciences. All the part will be having 100 questions each. All questions will be of Multiple Choice Type.
