M. B. A. (Full Time - Two Year) Programme
MONIRBA aims at producing the future business leaders and organization builder. It
endeavors the following:
* To help the students to become effective leaders who can achieve results beyond
expectations and transform organizations.
* To facilitate creative thinking so that students come out with innovative answers
and create alternative solutions and develop entrepreneurial skills.
* To develop professional competence in the budding managers to enable them to
face global competition.
* To inculcate values of integrity, justice, and fairness so that the students are
trained to promote and maintain high ethical standards in management.
* To develop full range of management competencies required for young managers
in today’s business world.
Admissions for the Session 2009-2010:
Eligibility for Admission:
The minimum qualification for admission to the MBA programs shall be graduation from a
recognized institution. (Degree Course of at least three years duration with separate
annual / semester examination system) from any stream. Students appearing in the
final year examination of the undergraduate class are permitted to apply, subject
to the condition that they furnish their final graduation pass result not later than
the date specified in the information brochure of the admission test.
Provided that there shall be a deduction at the rate of 5% per year for each year
elapsing since the year the candidate has passed his / her graduation examination,
subject to the maximum deduction of 15% in the scores of the candidate in the Written
Test and each Oral Test taken separately.
Illustration: This Rule shall be implemented in the following manner for the admission to
MBA Programme for the session 2009-2011:
Graduation Examination Year % to be deducted
2009 No deduction
2008 5%
2007 10%
2006 and preceding years 15%
Admission shall be made without any distinction of caste, creed, color, gender,
age, and so on. There shall be no provision for outright admission to anyone and
reservation shall be as per rules applicable to the University.
Intake: 33 students or as decided by the University Admission Committee.
For Foreign Students:
Admission of foreign national shall be made strictly as per recommendations of the
foreign students advisor of the University as supernumerary seats. Foreign students
recommended from time to time by the Government of India shall be admitted without
Admission Test.
Reservation: As per University Rules.
Admission Procedure:
The admission shall be made on the basis through an Admission Test comprising of
Written and Oral Tests. All applicants shall have to appear for the written test while the
oral test shall be held for candidates short listed on the basis of their performance in the
written test. The number short listed for the oral tests shall be as decided by the
Admission Committee. All tests shall be conducted only in English medium.
Test Centres:
The written tests shall be held at Allahabad, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Pune. The
candidate shall have the option to appear from any one of the specified centres.
Application Procedure:
Application has to be made on the prescribed form downloaded from our official web
sites listed below:

Completed application form is to be submitted to the Institute either personally or by
Speed-Post/ Registered Post only to the Coordinator (MBA Admissions), Motilal Nehru
Institute of Research and Business Administration, Chatham Lines Campus, University of
Allahabad, Allahabad-211002 along with a crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 1200/- only
drawn in favour of the "Head, Motilal Nehru Institute of Research and Business
Administration", payable at Allahabad. The last date for submitting/receiving completed
application form in the Institute is 18th April, 2009.
Schedule:
1. Last Date for receiving completed Application Form by the Institute: 18th, April, 2009.
2. Date of Written Test: 24th, May, 2009.
3. Date of Group Discussion / Personal Interview: To be announced later.
4. Last Date for producing final year graduation result in case of applicant is appearing
for it in 2009: At the time of Counseling. (Likely to be held in June / July, 2009)
