The Competence in Software Technology (CST) 2009 Results Decalred

C-DAC, Mumbai and Electronics City, Bangalore operates from Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Bangalore. The Competence in Software Technology (CST) examination was started first in September 1994.

CST 2009 like all the earlier conducted CST examinations is a multipurpose examination that offers several options to those who take it. These are described below.

1. Admission to FPGDST 2009 if you have taken CST 2008 (use Form A2 Form) or are taking CST 2009 (use Form A-1)

2. Admission in reputed institutions/university courses (list given below) – (Use Form A1 to apply)

3. Job opportunities at CDAC centres – (Use Form A1 to apply)

4. Opportunity to improve the scores for those who have taken CST 2008 – (Use Form A1 to apply). The candidate has to take the entire CST 2009 examination and the best score in individual papers will be taken while providing score reports.

5. Dissertation Project fellowships at CDAC

Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Other Backward Class Category, should submit a Caste Certificate in the format prescribed by the Government of India and issued by a Competent Authority. The Caste Certificate should confirm to the Caste as appearing in the Central government List/Notification. Certificates, with any discrepancy in the name, spelling of the caste, etc. will not be accepted. The OBC Certificate should have been issued on or after 18.09.2007 and should specifically contain the ‘Creamy Layer’ Clause.
5. Persons with Disabilities shall produce a Medical Certificate from the District Level Medical Board, clearly specifying the nature of the disability and percentage of infirmity.

Admission to MBA , MS 2009 at IIIT- Allahabad www.iiita.ac.in

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Devghat Jhalwa, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh-211012, has notified the admissions to the two-year MBA [Information Technology (IT)] and MS [Cyber Laws & Information Security (CLIS)] Programmes for the academic year 2009-10.

Graduates from any discipline with valid CAT score (GMAT scores for FN/NRIs) are eligible for admission to the MBA Programme in Information Technology.

Those with BE/B.Tech/Post Graduation/LLB or equivalent are eligible for admission to the MBA (CLIS) Programme.

Those appearing for the Qualifying Degree examination can also apply, if their final results are likely to be declared by 14th July, 2009. There are 76 seats for each Programme. Reservations will be applicable as per rules.

Sale of Application form-cum-Information Brochure will commence on 9th November, 2008. Application form-cum-Information Brochure can be had from the Institute in person or on request. The request letter must be superscribed ‘Request for MBA (IT)/MS (CLIS) Programme Application form’.

Cost of the Application from is Rs .600/- (Rs.300/- for SC/ST/OBC candidates) to be paid in cash or through DD of any Nationalized Bank drawn in favour of ‘IIIT-Allahabad’, payable at Allahabad. The last date for issuing (in person) & receiving completed application forms at IIIT-A Counter is 21st January, 2009.

Department of Electronic Science, University of Pune, Pune-411007, has invited applications for admission to the 6 month Full time Certificate Course in VLSI Design and Certificate Course in Embedded System Design commencing on 13th March, 2009. Those with BE/B.Tech in Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunication/ Instrumentation/ Electrical/ Computer/ Information Technology, M.Sc in Electronics or equivalent are eligible.

Selection will be on the basis of an Entrance Examination to be held at Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore & Ahmedabad from 11 a.m. to 1 pm. on 15th February, 2009.

Application forms and other details can be had from www.icitonline.org or from VLSI Design & Research Centre, Department of Electronic Science, University of Pune. Application and Entrance Exam Fee Rs. 250/- has to be paid by cash / DD in favour of ICIT Pvt. Ltd. Pune, payable at Pune.

The Name & full address of the applicant must be mentioned on the reverse side of the Demand Draft. The last date for receipt of filled up Application form along-with DD of Rs. 250/- drawn in favor of ICIT Pvt Ltd, Pune, Payable at Pune by Post/Courier is 13.2.2009. Hall ticket will not be issued. Students should appear directly for entrance exam at their selected centres. Written Entrance test will consist of objective questions from Basic Analog & Digital Design, C and Assembly language, Aptitude & Numerical Ability, Logic and reasoning and Current Technological trends etc. Merit list of successful candidates will be declared within a week from the date of the Entrance Test.

Successful candidates are required to pay first installment of fee of Rs. 10,000/- on or before 28.2.2009 and confirm admission and pay balance amount on or before 8th March 2009. The fee is to be remitted by cash/D.D. drawn in favour of ICIT Pvt. Ltd. payable at Pune. The wait listed candidates will be given preference for vacant seats, on 1st March 2009.

The courses are designed and approved by the University of Pune and are conducted by ICIT under the MOU with the University of Pune.
