CAT 2011 IIM Results declared. | Common Admission Test 2011

The results of Common Admission Test 2011 (CAT 2011) will be declared on Wednesday 11/01/2012. The official website of CAT will be accessible from 12 am onwards for the results.

The test for getting into the 13 Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and various other management schools in the country was conducted from October 22, 2011 to November 18, 2011.

To cater the need of usual heavy online traffic of students trying to access their results and a consequent freezing of the website, IIMs have taken adequate measures like upgrading the technologies and so on to avoid such inconveniences this year.

Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), an autonomous
organization of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, is one of the premier
Institutes in the country offering education, training, research and consultancy in the field of tourism, travel and allied sectors. IITTM was established in 1983 and presently IITTM campuses are located at Gwalior, Bhubaneswar, Goa and New Delhi. IITTM is a founder
member of UN-ESCAP promoted Network of Asia-Pacific Educational and Training
Institute in Tourism (APETIT). It offers two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management
(PGDM) programmes approved by AICTE and equivalent to MBA. Looking to the

With entry profiles ranging from beginners to advanced levels, IITTMs programmes are tailor

Admission Process and important dates
Admission to the programme shall be through an admission process of 100 points. A
weight of 70% shall be for the performance in IITTM Admission Test. Another 15%
points each are for Personal Interview (PI) and Group Discussion (GD) respectively.
Merit for admission to the programme shall be determined by the institute.
1. Apply to IITTM latest by May 01, 2009 with admission fees of Rs. 700/- (500/- in
case of SC/ST) through a demand draft payable to Director-IITTM, payable at
Gwalior.
2. A prospective student should appear for IITTM Admission Test on May 24, 2009.
3. Short-listed students will have to appear for GD and PI during June 19-21, 2009, at
any one of the IITTM centres.
4. Declaration of result by June 24, 2009.
5. Counselling and initial fee deposit during July 11-12, 2009
6. Admission and full fee deposit by July 27, 2009
7. Commencement of teaching July 27, 2009.
Admission Test
Admission test shall be organised at different notified centres on May 24, 2009. The test
shall be of two and a half hours duration. Test shall comprise of multiple choice type
questions in four sections- Language proficiency, general awareness, numerical ability
and reasoning.

Procedure for Registration and Obtaining Application Form

General instruction for admission to "Postgraduate Certificate in Business Management" (PGCBM), "Postgraduate Certificate in Human Resource Management" (PGCHRM) of XLRI, Jamshedpur.

1. To get admission into Satellite course, candidates have to submit the Application Form both Online and Hardcopy, along with 1 recent passport size photograph pasted in the application form.
Do not forget to fill SOP page no 2 (in Hardcopy) of application form.
2. To register/Online Application for the course PGCBM / HRM courses candidates are requested to click on Apply For Registration.
3. DD details are required to complete the registration processes.
4. A demand draft of Rs. 1000/- drawn in favor "XLRI, Jamshedpur" payable at "Jamshedpur" is required as application fee for each course.

The 2- year MBA programme in Petroleum & Energy Management program offered by RGIPT's 'Department of Management Studies' is designed as a career-oriented program aimed at the Petroleum & Energy sector. The program is designed to facilitate students in understanding, developing, integrating and applying knowledge of both core and specialised areas of management and their concepts and practices in the domain of the Petroleum & Energy Sector.
The focus will be to impart extensive training in the various areas of specialisation through electives, thereby providing a wide array of career opportunities in the sector.

FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES

The primary objective of the Faculty of Management Studies is to spawn a cadre of human resource who will acquire the necessary skills and competencies to manage the key positions in various segments of the petroleum sector covering the entire energy spectrum. Apart from offering educational programs of the highest quality at the MBA, Executive MBA and PG Diploma levels, specialized short term continuing education programs will be available for working professionals on the emerging business concepts.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for MBA 2009-10

1. Minimum 60% in aggregate (55% for SC/ST) in Class 10, Class 12. (Copies of passing certificates and Marksheets to be attached with the Application Receipt)
2. 2. Bachelors degree (4 years duration after 10+2) with 65% marks or C.P.I. of 7.0 in any branch of Engineering/ Technology. Mathematics must be one of the subjects in 10+2. Bachelors Degree must have AICTE recognition. (Photocopy of degree or provisional degree and Marksheets of all semesters/years to be attached with the Application Receipt)

   OR

   Masters degree with 65% marks or C.P.I. of 7.0 in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Environmental Science, Applied Geological Sciences, Operational Research and Computational Science. (Photocopy of degree or provisional degree and Marksheets of all semesters/years to be attached with Application Receipt)
3. Should have Qualified either in CAT (Nov 08), JMET 09 or GMAT (After June 2008) (Copy of Admit Card & Score card to be attached alongwith the Application Receipt)
4. Shortlisted applicants based on merit will be invited for selection process comprising of Group discussion and personal interview. Reservation policy as per Government of India’s directives.
5. Students will be shortlisted based on their meritorious academic performance. Not all those satisfying the minimum requirement are likely to be shortlisted.
6. Fee Structure (per semester): Tution fee– Rs.50,000/-
   Other fee– Rs.6,000/-
   Hostel and Transportation Charges–As Applicable

Admissions for the Session 2009-2010:
Eligibility for Admission:
The minimum qualification for admission to the MBA programs shall be graduation from a
recognized institution. (Degree Course of at least three years duration with separate
annual / semester examination system) from any stream. Students appearing in the
final year examination of the undergraduate class are permitted to apply, subject
to the condition that they furnish their final graduation pass result not later than
the date specified in the information brochure of the admission test.
Provided that there shall be a deduction at the rate of 5% per year for each year
elapsing since the year the candidate has passed his / her graduation examination,
subject to the maximum deduction of 15% in the scores of the candidate in the Written
Test and each Oral Test taken separately.

Illustration: This Rule shall be implemented in the following manner for the admission to
MBA Programme for the session 2009-2011:

2007 10%
2006 and preceding years 15%

Admission shall be made without any distinction of caste, creed, color, gender,
age, and so on. There shall be no provision for outright admission to anyone and
reservation shall be as per rules applicable to the University.

Intake: 33 students or as decided by the University Admission Committee.

For Foreign Students:
Admission of foreign national shall be made strictly as per recommendations of the
foreign students advisor of the University as supernumerary seats. Foreign students
recommended from time to time by the Government of India shall be admitted without
Admission Test.

Reservation: As per University Rules.

Admission Procedure:
The admission shall be made on the basis through an Admission Test comprising of
Written and Oral Tests. All applicants shall have to appear for the written test while the
oral test shall be held for candidates short listed on the basis of their performance in the
written test. The number short listed for the oral tests shall be as decided by the
Admission Committee. All tests shall be conducted only in English medium.

Test Centres:
The written tests shall be held at Allahabad, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Pune. The
candidate shall have the option to appear from any one of the specified centres.
