Advertisement for the admission notices is issued as below.

Uttarakhand Technical University (UKTU), Dehradun is conducting Uttarakhand State Entrance
Examination (UKSEE: 2009) on 09th and 10th May, 2009 for admission to degree courses in Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) / Hotel Management (BHMCT)/Lateral Entry to B.Tech & B.Pharm and Post Graduate Course MCA of Govt. Aided and Private unaided institutions affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University along with some other Govt. Universities of Uttarakhand in academic session 2009 – 10.

Examination Schedule: BHMCT / MCA / Lateral Entry for Second Year: 09th May, 2009 and B.Pharm.: 10th May, 2009.

Venue of Examination: Almora, Dehradun, New Delhi, Haldwani, Lucknow, Nainital, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Roorkee. Rudrapur.

Eligibility to Appear in UKSEE-2009:
1. For admission to first year of B. Pharm. / BHMCT, candidate must have passed intermediate (10+2 level or equivalent) examination of Uttarakhand Board or from any recognized Board.

2. For admission to first year of MCA candidate must have passed three years degree course (with mathematics as one subject at 10+2 or graduation level for MCA only) from any recognized University.

3. Admission in B.Tech first year will be done on the merit basis of AIEEE, B.Arch first year will be done on the merit basis of NATA, MBA first year will be done on the merit basis of MAT/CAT.The whole procedure of admission will be same as of previous year.

4. The admission to second year (lateral entry) of B.Tech., the candidate must have passed three years ‘Diploma in Engineering' or three years ‘B.Sc. degree with mathematics as one subject’ and securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

5. The admission to second year (lateral entry) of B.Pharm., the candidate must have passed ‘Diploma in Pharmacy' and securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

6. The candidates appearing in qualifying examination are also eligible to appear in UKSEE-2009 subject to the condition that they will fulfill the eligibility criteria at the time of counselling.

7. The details for admission of NRI and Kashmiri migrants are available on University website.

Sale of Information Brochure / Application Form:

The Information Brochure containing OMR application form are available for sale from February 16, 2009 to March 16, 2009 (both days inclusive) by paying Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST candidates with Rs. 30/- additional as post office handling charges in cash from Post Offices of Dehradun GPO, Roorkee HO, Kotdwar HO, Haldwani HO, Tallital, Pantnagar, Rudrapur, Kichha, Ramnagar, Kashipur, Mussoorie, Hardwar, Rishikesh MDG, Rudraprayag, Pauri, Srinagar, Tehri, Almora, Ranikhet, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Doiwala, Vikasnagar, Chakrota, Bajpur, Lansdowne, Gopeshwar, Khatima and outside of Uttarakhand from Post offices of Lucknow GPO, Meerut City HO and New Delhi GPO.

Form can also be obtained by post from the office of Registrar, UKSEE: 2009, Uttarakhand
Technical University, Post Box No. 202, GPO, Dehradun - 248001 by sending a Bank draft of Rs. 1050.00 for General/OBC and Rs. 550.00 for SC/ST candidates in favour of Finance Officer, UKTU, payable at Dehradun along with two self addressed stickers before 02.03.2009. The last date of receipt of duly filled OMR application form (by speed / Registered post only) to office of Registrar will be March 21, 2009. Notification M.Tech (Sequentical) from 1st June 09 to 31st July 09

M.Tech (Sequential) will be conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University in summer from 1st June, 09 to 31st July, 09 at two places for degree and diploma teachers of this state and on vacancy of certain number of seats the candidate can be admitted from other state on request from head of institution of concerns state:-

The following courses will be conducted in 2009 summer:-
1- Electronic digital Communication- 30 seats
2- Computer Science and Engineering- 30 seats
3- Mechanical Engineering- 30 seats

The intake will be limited to only 30 working teachers on recommendation of the Director/Principal for individual teacher of the concern institution in each course. The drop out in the middle of the course on request will be considered vacant and no substitute will be filled in place of vacancy. The fee will be Rs 30000/- per semester which can be refunded if the candidate did not attend from beginning of semester classes. This amount will include lodging and fooding in the hostel provided on the venue of the course. The fees will be paid by the candidate by demand draft in favour of Finance Officer, Uttarakhand Technical University, payable at Dehradun. Drop out candidate can avail the opportunity in next semester without payment of fees but refund of fees will not be a provision since engagement of teacher for
teaching in the semester has been done on the basis of application of the candidate received. If the number of applications received are more then the intake a suitable criterion will be followed to regret the admission for particular semester. The criterion will be based on merit and experience of the teacher.

Preference will be given to UTU affiliated institution followed by Polytechnic teachers over others. Reservation will be followed as existing in Govt. Institution for different categories.

Eligibility Details:
For admissions to first year of B.Tech./B.Pharm./B.Arch./BHMCT candidate must have passed intermediate (10+2 level or equivalent) exams of Uttarakhand Board or from any recognized Board.

For admissions to first year of B.Arch., candidate must have minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate of qualifying exams along with NATA (National Aptitude Test for Architecture) score. The candidate possessing three year Diploma in Architecture (10+3) with minimum 50% marks are also eligible for admissions to first year of B.Arch. only.

For admissions to first year of MCA/MBA, candidate must have passed three years degree course (with mathematics as one subject at 10+2 or graduation level for MCA only) from any recognized University.

The admissions to second year (lateral entry) of B.Tech., the candidate must have passed three years ‘Diploma in Engineering‘ or three years ‘B.Sc. degree with mathematics as one subject’ and securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate.

(I) For MD/MS/Diploma Courses (Allopathic)
The competitive Entrance Examination shall be open to such candidates who:
a) Have passed the M.B.B.S. Examination from Uttarakhand viz Himalayan Institute at Medical
Sciences, Jolly Grant, Dehradun and were admitted though competitive examination and not through
NRI/Management Quota.
b) Are domicile of Uttarakhand and have passed M.B.B.S. Examination from Medical Colleges of other
States and were admitted through 15% All India Quota (Vide Supra).
c) Are domicile of Uttarakhand and have passed M.B.B.S. Examination from the State Medical Colleges
of Uttar Pradesh State (i.e. Meerut, Kanpur, Agra, Jhansi, Allahabad, Gorakhpur and Lucknow) and
were admitted through Combined Pre Medical Test conducted by the Government of U.P.
d) Have completed Rotatory Compulsory Internship on or before 31st March 2008



ii) For Post Graduate Ayurvedic Courses:
The competitive Entrance Examination shall be open to such candidates who:
a) Have passed BAMS Course from Ayurvedic college recognized by Central Council of Indian
Medicine.
b) Are Registered under any State/Central Council of Indian Medicine.
c) Have completed/will be completing Rotatory Compulsory Internship on or before 31st July 2008.



*Entrance Test for these seats is subject to the approval of C.C.I.M. and Government of India

Information Brochure and Application Form shall be downloaded from the website
www.uktech.in from Feb. 8 - 18, 2009. Admit cards shall be downloaded from the same website from Feb.
20th, 2009. Admit cards shall not be send by the post. The filled forms with DD of Rs. 3000/- (Rs. Three
Thousand only) in favour of Registrar, Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun must reach in the Office
of Registrar, Uttarakhand Technical University, A-12, Saraswati Vihar, Lower Adhoiwala, PO - Dalanwala,
Dehradun on or before 5.00 PM dated Feb. 18th, 2009.
