Introduction:
Indian Navy Artificer Apprentices Exam is conducted for students who want their career in Indian Navy. It consists of nearly 55,000 men and women along with 5,000 naval aviation personnel and 2,000 Marine Commandos (MARCOS). As a whole, Indian Navy is world’s fifth largest navy. Indian Navy Artificer Apprentices Exam is conducted for recruiting personnel to the Indian Navy. The exam is held twice a year and applications are invited through advertisements in Employment News and other leading newspapers.
Eligibility:
1. The candidate must be an Indian National.
2. The candidate is to be unmarried while applying for the Exam.
3. The age of the candidate should be between 15 and 18 years.
4. The candidate must have passed Matriculation / equivalent examination preferably with Science and Mathematics with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
5. The one who have not got 60% marks in Matriculation will be eligible only if they have secured 55% or more marks in aggregate in a higher board examination with Science and Mathematics.
Physical Requirements:
1. The height of the candidate must not be less than 15cm.
2. Candidate should have a good chest with minimum expansion of 5cm.
3. The weight of the candidate must be proportionate to their height and age.
4. The candidate without glasses should have a vision of 6/12 and the one with glasses, one eye 6/9 and other 6/12.
5. The candidate should have a good physical and mental health, free from all kind of communicable diseases.

Examination Pattern:
1. The written test will be divided into four sections:
Science
Mathematics
English
General Knowledge
2. The questions in the test will be of Multiple Choice Type (MCQ).
3. The medium of the test will be both in English and Hindi.
4. The question set will be of Matriculation Standard.
5. The duration of the test will be 75minutes.
Selection Procedure:
1. The first step for selection is that candidate has to appear in the written test.
2. The short-listed candidates in the written test will have to go for a Physical Fitness Test.
3. The Physical Fitness Test will be comprised of a one mile (1.6 km) run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squats (Uthak-Baithak) and 10 push-ups.
4. The candidates will be selected on the basis of the collective performance in written as well as Physical Fitness test.
