Applicant should have a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second division or equivalent OGPA in Agriculture or allied subjects/Veterinary Science/Dairy Technology/Food Technology from any Agricultural University or Institution recognized by the ICAR / UGC. Those expecting to complete their Degree by July -August 2009 are also eligible to apply, subject to production of warranty letter from the concerned institute.
Seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped categories as per Govt of India rules.
Details of selection procedure are given in the Prospectus, which can be downloaded from www.ccsniam.gov.in.
Selection will be based on the NIAM Admission Test (NIAMAT) to be conducted at notified centres (as per the list to be made available on NIAM website by 13 February 2009), on 22nd February 2009 (Sunday) and subsequent Group Discussion and Personal Interview to be held at NIAM in March/April 2009, for candidates short-listed based on marks obtained in Admission Test.
The entrance exam will include questions from Quantitative, Numerical, Logical Ability, Communication and English comprehension, Agriculture, Managerial Ability and General knowledge.
Tuition fee for entire course is Rs 2,50,000/- . Besides this, Rs. 2,00,000/- would be charged against boarding & lodging, library and computer fee for two years. NIAM also facilitates study loan.
Applications can be submitted online till 22.1.2009 at www.ccsniam.gov.in or http://specialtest.in/niamat. Before online registration, candidates should take a Crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 1000/- (General/OBC)/ Rs. 500/- (SC/ST/PH) drawn in favour of Director General, NIAM, Jaipur payable at Jaipur.
Print version of the online application form along with the testimonials should be sent to Director General-NIAM, P.O. Box No. 3076, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110 003to reach there latest by 5 pm on 27 January 2009.
