Legal Nurse Consultant Certification Exam is conducted for those registered nurses who are looking ahead to attain consultancy level in nursing and increase their opportunities in the medical-legal field. A Legal Nurse Consultant is a licensed nurse who has got additional legal training and can consult with doctors, attorneys, and clients on medical issues. This exam enables nurses to function and perform in a legal capacity. They can perform chart reviews and work in the quality assurance for health care organizations.
Eligibility criteria:
The applicant applying for this exam must be a licensed registered nurse.
The applicant must have attained a minimum of 5 years employment.
The applicant must have also got at least 2000 hours of functioning experience as a legal nurse for a period of 3 years.
Examination Pattern and Syllabus:
There are total of 200 questions in the exam.
All the questions are of multiple choice type (MCQ)
The duration of the test is 4 hours.
The questions will be asked from the specific fields of law, such as personal injury, medical malpractice or negligence, and risk management.
